Life has been so hard this week. Todd has been gone since early monday morning and it seems that my kids have dicided since dad is not here they can just do whatever. I had Girl Scouts at my house on Wednesday which went very smoothly to my surprise. I have worked everyday this week except Wednesday. The day I help in both Adelyn's and Ashton's class. Then I had the GS's here till 6. Oh ya and Tuesday we spent the night in the E.R. because Adelyn was sure she broke her foot at Karate earlier that day. (of course nothing seriously wrong) Then tonight we spent from the second I walked in the door till bedtime doing homework and talking about what lies ahead for my lovely children in the weekend of being grounded.
Do you ever feel like you have put to much on your plate?? I mean between Todd and I working Full-Time, todd going to school FT, 2 kids, girl scouts, karate, homework, and everything else that seems to fill in the cracks. Oh and don't forget about the dang dogs I am ready to give away after this week. They found (MOCHA) someway to open the garage door and chew up everything including but not limited to snow boots, car mats, water bottles and the garbage bag I set in the garage for 1 second then forgot about due to another disaster going on inside the house.
It's times when I feel so overwhelmed that I just don't know what to do next that I miss her the most. Mom you are always on my mind.

Trying something new
I have decided to try and do this on my own. Given my experience with my bad experience with studios. I would like to think I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing. Mainly for the fact I have spent the last 5 years making kids smile. I am excited to get started and even more eager to learn all the new things to come. I have been taking studio pictures for 5 years and have only started outdoors for the past year or so. It has been so fun to learn new things. So check out my blog and if you like it follow me so I can get lots of followers. I am doing a great special now and will continue doing great deals for the whole summer to build up my portfolio. So give me a call the next time you need pictures and tell your friends.

I can't believe she is 8...
I know I say this with every single year but it is so hard to believe Adelyn is 8 years old. It seems like yesterday we brought this beautiful dark skinned (the tannest kid ever) baby home. We were so worried driving home I think Todd went like 5 miles and hour. I had no idea what to do with her when I got her home. She was so fun to have as my first. Adelyn is such a fun little girl. She loves to get muddy and dirty with dad and paint her toes with mom. She recently got her hair cut so it couldn't go into a pony tail anymore. I have tried and tried to get her to love hair bows, head bands, flowers really anything that goes in her hair but NO WAY is her response. Although I can am only allowed to touch her hair and pick out her clothes on picture day it is still fun to have a little girl. She had a small party this year with only the girls in her class. They are all such cute little girls we had a great time.
First swing at the pinate
A last minute decision was made when I relized we still had and hour to go before parents arrived!
In the end dad had to take a few swings to get it down
Adelyn's best friend Hannah on the left with her sister Abbie. Parker who is the missing triplet is also in Adelyn's class.
Apparently this was a loved gift by all. There were all kinds of screams for this little pet.
Adelyn Jade you are the smile on my face. You are always so kind and sweet to your little brother. You set such a good example for everyone in our family. Your love of the simple things in life help remind me we have so much to be grateful for. I love that you want to be outside playing every second you can. You are getting so big and turning into such a wonderful girl. Even though you are a bit stubborn and hate to get out of bed in the morning you bring so much joy to me everyday. I am so glad that you are mine!! Love Mommy

A little boy has stolen my HEART!
My baby turned 6 on January 8th. I can't believe that Ashton is six years old already! This little boy has been the light of my life since day one. He is for sure a little mommy's boy and I LOVE it! He has got to be the sweetest little boy that has ever walked this earth. I think it is pretty crappy to have a birthday so close to Christmas and on top of that he has to share it with his mom. I try so hard to make sure that his birthday is so special and that it is all about him. When he woke up the first thing he said was Happy Birthday mom! He was so cute! Anytime during the day I asked him what he wanted to eat or to what he wanted to do he replied "I don't know you decide your the birthday girl."
He was so excited for his bounce house birthday party!! He invited his whole class and had so much fun!!
He was pretty excited his cousin could make it as well.
Ashton you are the best kid ever! Our family would be so boring without you in it!! I don't think anyone could ever make me laugh as much as you do. You have the sweetest little spirit and the most curious little mind. I hope you never loose your curiosity for life. I am so glad you are mine I love you more than words could ever say!! Love your mommy

Christmas Break
I can't believe that this is the last night of Christmas break!! The time has gone by so fast. We have had so much fun spending the last couple weeks with family and friends. My favorite part of the holidays is getting together with everyone. Here are some pictures of some of the fun.
Adelyn and Ashton spent a weekend at Grandpa and Jaleens House. They had a sleep over on Friday night and then on Saturday they made Gingerbread Houses. Santa made a special trip to see them so he knew for sure what they wanted.
This is the FIRST picture with Santa since birth that we have without tears!!
Christmas Morning at our house.
They both had a lot of fun!! Adelyns favorite present was her Barbie and Ashtons was his Nerf gun. We spent Christmas eve with Todd's mom and Brother at her house. I of course forgot my camera and so we don't have any pictures of that. We spent the rest of Christmas Day with my family at Micheles eating and playing games!
The day after we took family pictures with my side of the family.
Then went to Salt Lake to see Todd's dad and Jaleen.
Alley and Krista got to spend the night before they headed back to Oregon. We had so much fun with our cousins. Adelyn loves it when they are around because she is usually the only (little) girl cousin and all the boy cousins play so rough.
This was a great end to a great holiday! We sure hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a great New Year just like us!!
